Biography

Dr. Renhao Li received his PhD in Biochemistry and Biophysics from University of Minnesota, and underwent training at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine as a Damon Runyon postdoc fellow. After faculty stays at UTHealth and Emory, and multiple NIH research grants over more than 20 years, he recently joined Zhejiang University School of Medicine and its First Affiliated Hospital as a Qiushi Chair Professor. His research focuses on the structure, function and regulation of platelet receptors and ligands in the context of bleeding and thrombotic disorders. He has recently served on the American Society of Hematology Awards Committee, and also chaired or co-chaired the ASH Scientific Committee on Platelets, the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis VWF Scientific and Standardization Committee, and the 2025 Gordon Research Conference on the Cell Biology of Megakaryocytes and Platelets.
